With the goals of promoting competitiveness of the state and quality of life through seeking excellence in management and also being a global reference for promoting competitiveness of the region, the PGQP (Gaúcho Program of Quality and Productivity or Programa Gaúcho de Qualidade e Produtividade ) started structuring its base in 1992.
Since then, a Constant, growing propagation of the philosophy of quality has become visible in a democratic way, which has been resulting in improvement of the products and services of the companies in the state, thus giving them greater competitiveness and qualifications.
Tecon Rio Grande became signatory to the PGQP in 2003, having initially participated in the cycle of internal evaluation, which made a diagnosis – not only coming from tables but also being quantitative – of its processes and management criteria. The following year the program was increased, since besides the system that had already been implanted, an evaluation report was elaborated, in which Tecon Rio Grande assumed the commitment to the PGQP guidelines, from the operational level to the strategic level.
The level 2 Bronze Trophy, which was received in 2005, is the result of rigorous work, recognition, and continual evolution of the system that had been implemented, and together with the ISO 9000 certification, they are evidence as instruments for monitoring and evaluating, and they are used in their entirety in the daily tasks of our employees.
The trophy that was received and participation in 2006 was and will be the mark and the greatest commitment that has been assumed by Tecon Rio Grande for excellence of quality and continual improvement. Now it is up to our team to seek greater conquests and it is up to our customers to benefit from the advantages and guarantees of good services that are offered. Congratulations to all those involved in this new and constant challenge, as it is in this way that a true Container Terminal is built.
